Hi, I have just had a package charge and I know nothing of this, do you know what it would be for? How do I get in touch with virgin so I can talk to a human too? The app makes it very hard to contact anyone and I just went round in a circle with the WhatsApp bot.

Had you contacted us at all on the 2nd January or does your contract/communications advise of any discounts expiring at all on the 2nd Jan?

I just thought the only thing I’ve done is change my direct debit date from the 20th to the 28th, could that be why? But I did that in December not on the 2nd Jan.

Moving the DD date will extend a single ‘month’ by some days, for a single month only. Is £26.50 your normal monthly payment?
Does this reflect in the billing period for this bill, i.e. is the billing period more than a month?

Changing a Direct Debit date can skew the bill for one particular month, but in order for me to identify this and reassure you, please allow me to send you a PM so I can look into this further.

Thankyou all, I’ve just had a look at my previous bills and I think I know why. I used to be billed for 2nd - 1st £26.50 but this bill says 7th - 6th so the 2nd to the 5th jan is not billed at all, that must be the reason for the extra charge probably because I changed the date. Thanks all for your help.
