Owed from last month

Hi I'm worried about a bill I recieved.

My contract expired in August and contacted virgin media to renew. When I logged into my account it asked me to change my email, I think perhaps I missunderstood what they meant and I changed my account email instead of the @virginmedia one.

The advisor brought up the change over the phone and I confirmed and changed over my account to a new gmail one and began a new contract with them, the contract appeared in the new email I provided and I read through it etc over the phone.

Now a few weeks later I recieved a bill in my old Gmail account with the updated contract amount but also a message saying

"Owed from last month: £36.60

Your previous bill was not settled in full. Action is required by you to clear this amount immediately, further delay may result in your services being suspended."

Now over the phone there was no mention of having the pay the full amount and instead they said I would  just owe 20 something pounds.

My concern is. I'm not recieving my latest bill in my new account meail which I should since they replaced it, and also they adjusted the direct debit and told me I wouldn't owe anything.

I called them this morning with my query and they said I don't owe any money, I asked should I just ignore it then? She said yes. I don't want my credit damaged by a missunderstanding, can anyone (staff) try look into this for me please.

Hey neochaos01,

Welcome to the community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums. I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having with your account after changing your email address and your new package.  I would be happy to take a further look into this for you but first I would need to confirm a few details via private message, please look out for my message and we can get started.
Kind Regards,
