Late fee incorrectly charged

Hi,

I have been charged a late fee on my account which I believe will affect my credit score even though I was due a refund for overpayment for months. You then said I underpaid you so was given a late fee and my refund was taken back. Please help!

There's not really any such thing as a credit score, beyond the sales departments of particular credit reference agencies. The scoring process used by individual lenders is strictly internal, and not something that "Clearscore" or such like, can sell you.

What should be of more concern is the data on your statutory credit file, and your monthly payments being up-to-date. That's something the VM staff on this forum can advise on.
