How do I stop VM Telesales promotion people from incessant calling

Thyper

I have had 5 calls in 3 days from the Overseas Telesales Promotion team. How do I get them to stop calling?  I am currently out of contract but happy with the services I take and have told them that but they insist that they try to upsell me a package that I do not need and at price that is ridiculously expensive as I have been a loyal customer since the late 90's (C&W, NTL,VM).

Just a heads up @Thyper

It can take up to 30 days for the changes to take effect. Also if you have a sim with VMO2 then you need to update the marketing preferences in your mobile account as well.

Since you are out of contract you will now be paying full price for your services. It might be a good idea for you to sign into My Virgin Media and see if there are any new deals being offered to you in there. (You might also receive an email from VM offering a new discounted contract)

You could contact VM yourself by dialling 150 from a VM landline, or  0345 454 1111 from any other phone and speak to retentions (option 4) to negotiate a new deal. Retentions (thinking of leaving us) are generally based in the UK, and have a greater degree of knowledge and flexibility, along with a larger range of discounts than the front line agents.
