Help needed? 14 day cooking off period!

Otguk
On our wavelength

Hello people and merry Christmas,

I had an email for an offer to upgrade my broadband to M350 for about £3.50.

After saying yes please ,I saw they my package will increase by £50 in August 25.

So being in the 14 day cooling off period I phoned and asked to remove the upgrade.

😱

Seems like I've signed a new 18 month contract! 🤔 No way to go back to my old deal.

Any way, that's beside the point right, because I no longer want the upgrade and want to continue on my previous contract which has about 6 months left!

But no I can't do that, why? Why I'm I having to go onto a new contract whilst I'm in the cooling off period! Just roll back my contract, is it really hard 🤷🏻

On the phone to Virgin now, 1hr 01 mins and counting. Still nowhere near getting solved.

Could someone can't contact before my 14 days lapse.

Thank you.

Hi @Otguk, thank you for your post.

We're sorry to hear about the poor experience you've had 😔

In order to look into this for you further, we'll send you a private message on here. Look out for the envelope in the top right-hand corner.

If you're on a portable device with a smaller screen, click on the icon in the top right-hand corner and select "messages" from the additional menu options.

Regards,
Daniel

I get a similar offer every so often. I do momentarily think "oooh that would be nice" and then quickly remember that this is Virgin Media Ltd and that the slightest change to anything at all will bring the whole house of cards that is VM crashing down on my head.
