Virgin Media has now gone live on my street and a virgin salesman knocked my door to see if I was interested. I told him that I am interested but currently still in contract with sky until November and I have extensive building work starting in my property next week which means that i won’t be able to have it installed until November anyway due to the work I’ve I’m having carried out.
He told me that is not a problem, if i sign up now he can give me a £ 40 bill credit and set the installation date for when I want it in November.
So I agreed to the sign up and the rep stated that he had set the installation date to 12th October as that’s the furthest ahead he can do on his tablet but when he gets back to the office the next day he will manually set the installation for the date in November.
its been 2 days since sign up and the installation date still shows October 12th.
I am beginning to think that the sales rep has mislead me in order to get a sale. Has anyone had any experience in this?

Every time we read about Virgin Media's door to door sales men it is not good news.
What is promised is never delivered to the time line or price that was verbally communicated.
Did you sign a written contract that states a deferred installation date ?
Lets hope so.

If you have been misled by a VM field sales agent, you would be joining a long list of other recent topics complaining about the same sorts of behaviours.
Entirely likely the agent will want to include your sale in this month's figures.
