Early Disconnection Fee payment

I am confused by the FAQ answers on the website regarding early disconnection fees when moving homes.

We will have to move home before the end of the minimum period of the M125 Fibre broadband-only deal (24 months). We cannot check if the next address is covered because we don't know where that is yet.

If we move to a UK address outside of Virgin coverage before the end of the minimum period:

- Will Virgin take the full early disconnection fee (e.g. 12 months worth) in one payment? Or monthly payments?

- If our early disconnection fee is credited, would this be Virgin Media credit only? Or would we get the amount refunded to our bank account?

- Is it guaranteed that our early disconnection fee will be credited, as long as our new address is in the UK and not covered by Virgin?

Thanks, Ged

If you move to a non VM area your contract is just cancelled and you have no termination fee to pay. If VM ever need to pay you money it’s always by cheque never a refund into a bank account. (Antique accounting system!)

I think they charge an early disconnection fee whatever ( in one lump sum) then up to you to claim back with proof of your new address  that can't get VM service, within 30 days ie. the small print is all in their favour.
