Cancelled broadband, but still being charged.

Tuning in

I cancelled my Virgin media broadband last month by registered letter to their address Sunderland SR43 4AA, giving 30 days notice. But Virgin will not accept that I have left and are still trying to charge me.

I made a complaint and got an incoherent Ai reply which made no sense. They seem to think that I am still a customer for some reason. 

Has anybody got any advice on how to approach the Ombudsman and how to put an end to this nonsense from VM.
