Can't Reset Password ntl

I have had a Virgin Media account for many years. I today tried to log in to my VM account but the password doesn't work. I therefore selected to reset my password, whereon I was asked to enter the email address with which I log in.

I entered it, an address, but it just came back and asked the same question again. I have entered it several times and the same happens every time. I haven't received an email link to reset my password.

So it looks like I have no access to my Virgin Media account and no way or getting it back.

Any assistance would be gratefully received. I can see other ntlworld users have had the same issue, and wonder why it hasn't been fixed.
