I'm currently with VirginMedia broadband and when i first started it was £35 a month for 500mbps (i was a student but living on my own) Then 2 years later now my bill is £68.59 a month with the same speed, but I see everyone saying they're just paying 40-50 for theirs, or 25-30 for a slower wifi.

Simple answer. New customer packages are sold at a loss in order to get new customers. From then on the price will increase. It will increase more if you don’t renegotiate at the end of each fixed term. But don’t expect to get new customer pricing for obvious reasons.

Hi @jukshimo
Thanks for posting and welcome to the community.
As with all providers, we create introductory offers to new customers. At the start of all of our customer’s time with us they will have benefited from such a deal. Once this expires, we'll always do all we can to offer the best existing customer deal available.
Please either;
Call the team on 150 / 0345 454 1111 or message via Whatsapp - +44780 308 9684 (automated at the start) and ask the team to do a package review. We'll ensure you're paying the best price for the services requested.
Best wishes.
