Unable to change greeting

I have been told that my voicemail greeting is just a few seconds of a blank message. So I tried to change it via 1571, option 2 etc. But when I try to leave a new greeting it just hangs up, ignoring my number presses on the phone keypad. I have no idea what to do or who to call to get this fixed. Help please.

Thank you for your help. Second Line called but I missed the call. Nobody called back but nevertheless I just tried it and it appears to be working now.
