Hi all,
I will be away for a few weeks when the phone is planned to switch to fibre. I believe I can plug the adaptor into the hub and connect the phone as recommended, and on the switching date, the phone will be automatically switch to fibre. When I come back after a few weeks, I assume it will have completed the switch.
Can anybody confirm this? Or are there special protocols for those who will not be at home during the switching process?
Many thanks
Sol

Hi @solarpower03 👋.
Thanks for reaching out to us with your concerns about your switchover.
I fit is a simple one handset with no additional lines, any lifeline pendants for medical assistance or intruder alarms that work off your home phone being connected to emergency and or security services, then the process will follow the switching date that you have been provided with. Should you have any of these then we would advise to arrange an appointment for an engineer to visit to set in place any additional works for your requirements are met.
Should you wish for further clarity, please look out for the envelope on the top right of your web browser or if you are using a mobile device, it will be located under your profile icon.
Thanks.

Thanks, Sabrina. It is a simple fit with one handset - nothing else is connected to the phone line.

It has recently been reported on the board by VM that there is a hold on the conversion.

Indeed, just got email. I would be away for 4 weeks. Should I just plug-in the switch kit in case they do while I am away?

Thanks for getting back to us.
Once the migrations get back on track it would be done remotely.
Once we receive any updates we'll then advise further on potential dates.
