I’ve just joined Virgin and asked for my landline to be ported across from Now/Sky. No success with this despite the Mover team who visited us in person assuring us it would take only a few days. Can anyone help with this?

You mention the "movers" team, so I assume you are moving locations as well as provider. Is the number you are porting from in the same STD code area as where you are moving too? For example, if your existing STD code is Bedford (01234) you can only port the number to another location within the Bedford STD area. If you move to th area covered by Milton Keynes exchange (01908) you would have to be allocated a new number.

Sorry to hear of an issue you've had with your number porting.
Is your current landline number still active do you know? If not, do you know how long ago this was disconnected?
