Port number over to sky

i moved to sky today but virgin haven’t ported my land line over 

my contract should now be cancelled with virgin 

I am out of contract 

I haven’t had any contact from virgin to confirm

HI @cstopforth10 thanks for posting and welcome back to our community.  Sorry to hear your number port to your new provider has not taken place.  Has your new provider explained why?  When did they request it from us?

The 18 th September I signed up to sky 

I got an email from virgin that night saying sky had told them about the transfer on the 27th today and I would keep my number , but my account with virgin still shows open on the app and I haven’t been given my virgin number

Are you able to ring your mobile and see what number comes up?

I have spoken with an advisor who is contacting open reach to port the number next week the delay is apparently due to a new system , thanks 

Hi , over a week now , number still not ported over to sky . Rang sky and virgin , no  one knows the why …. So seems like that’s it

Sorry to hear that your landline has not been ported over yet. 

I know you mentioned that you've moved to Sky, does that mean that your installation has been completed with them and you're now using their services?

If so, do you know when you provided your 30 day disconnection notice to us and when your disconnection date is? 

If you're disconnection with us is still pending, then it could be that there is a wait for this to be completed before the port can take place. We'd have to wait for Sky themselves to request the number port as it's not something that we can just do without first receiving the request.
