We switched over to VOIP phone some time ago, and have recently realised that if someone rings while I'm on the phone they don't get a line busy signal it just keeps trying to connect then cuts off.
We are in the purple zone apparently but when I do #43# to permanently switch off call waiting I get an automated response that the function is not available on my li e.
How do I get it set up so that callers get an engaged tone if the line is busy?

It looks as though the busy tone won't be available on the new Internet phone connections.
It would be nice if that information was included on the FAQ pages about the new phone service, or anywhere at all really!.
It would save a lot of frustration and worry when trying to get in touch with people, especially vulnerable members of the family.

Enable the VM Voice Message service to ensure the second caller has a useful response and you don't suffer lost calls during a service outage or a power cut.
