Lost caller id number since 6 September

I had a problem with most calls in and out by not hearing people. Engineers found the problem 06/09/2024 in the street box and was rectified. Since then lost all incoming caller ID, all that comes up now is no number. Called Virgin Media today 10/09/2024 and got no where. ????????

When you say hear people, do you mean the line is dead?

Have you changed the handset lately?

No, That has been sorted out. I have lost the caller ID the phone says incoming call, where as before the repair every number shown up

Can you just confirm you've tried various numbers to ring instead of just the one?

Is it doing it more than the one number I take it?

Has it only started this since you spoke to the team?

Have you checked your handset settings to see if its been turned off?

Thanks for the quick replies. The engineer fixed everything as there was a faulty connection in the box and my TV was also pixelating and that was another wiring defect in my wall box. All that was done then the caller display has now gone and no ones number shows up. My phone is fine as I changed it and it was the same. This has all happened since the Engineer visit last Friday

Did they put the phone into the back of the router?

Not plugged into router

I am on the phone now with Virgin Media but I think it needs an Engineer visit again. Could be wrong. It just seems funny its not been working sine the visit last Friday from them
