Is anyone else having this problem and have a solution? My hard of hearing mother is in her eighties and is very worried that she cannot make calls. Especially as my father is in hospital and we need to keep in contact with the hospital. We can recieve calls on our landline but when we try and call out it just sounds with the engaged tone. Bills have been paid regularly and phone worked fine until a few days ago. Seems to be a few people on here with the same problem! Any help welcome! Apparently you can't use live chat for landline issues but we can't call the phone line as the phone line won't work! Frustrating!

We're sorry to hear of the landline issues experienced, particularly at such an important time for your mother. We appreciate you taking the time to raise this via the forums.
Have you been able to check here for any known area faults? Does the handset connect via a wall socket or into the back of a Hub? If it is the later, are there any broadband or Hub issues experienced?
Please let us know as soon as possible so we can look into this further.

We checked the status and it said it was fine on the phoneline. There did flag up an issue on the broadband but checked again and that's now a green light but the phonelines still not working.
The phone is plugged into the wall I think...

Do you have another handset you can check the line with if it is via the wall socket?

Yes we've tried two phones, both the same result...
