Hi,
Have just switched to Virgin from Sky and ticked a box during the process asking for the old landline number to be kept the same however I've received an email informing me that the number has been changed. The old line is still active so should be able to be transferred still.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

It is not unusual for VM to give out temporary numbers while porting completes. VM have their own exchanges, which can increase the time to transfer numbers.
