Transfer Vonage home phone number to existing virgin home phone

I want to transfer my home phone number with Vonage to my Virgin phone line once my virgin home phone moves on to the fibre connection on 16 May. How do I go about this? Thanks.

We have 3 VOIP numbers and will never allow them to be absorbed into an ISP bundle that once created can not be unbundled without cancelling the entire service & risking loss of the phone number(s).

Why would you want to move a VoIP number to an ISP? It will work with any ISP so shouldn’t need to be tied to VM.

As @Client62 said.  Your number is safe with Vonage. Don't trust it to VM and risk more problems if you ever want to move ISPs again.

Virgins phone system is a hybrid of the traditional exchange line & a digital connection. It is not true VoIP, so does not have the facilities that your Vonage line has (plug into any router anywhere, receive landline calls on your Smartphone etc). I moved the other way so as not to be tied to a particular operator or to a line rental charge, which you will have to be paying with Virgin.
