Your download speeds will be limited by the network suppling the patches etc. It's nothing to do with the VM Hub. I have 500Mb and with Xbox live the speeds can vary quite considerably. There is nothing you can do about it really.
You may have a point but I wasn't necessarily blaming the hub, just stating what I had for any replies asking about my setup.
I was doing the cod updates yesterday whilst in a party chat with a few others on VM and BT and they didn't seem to have their downloads grind to a holt like mine did.
Back when I was on 250, my downloads were always going at a consistent speed, whether it was full games or patches but now there is no consistency and even slower than the 250 package at times and that's what's led me to here...

You need to get a PC/Laptop and run a wired test on the Hub.
Run the FULL tests on www.samknows.com/realspeed and post the results. This will show the speeds VM are supplying to the Hub.

Had to do it on my phone but it's the usual 1145 down and between 110-115 up to the hub.
I'm curious if there's any settings I can change on the hub/console to improve the download speed on PS5? (normally around 850 down, 10-20 up)
Static IP, changing the DNS, DMZ? (if it's actually safe for console because I'm not sure either way)

The PS5 I think only has a 1Gb NIC, so your speeds are in line with that specification. Besides console speed tests are notoriously inconsistent.
