Virgin.net email and virginmedia account locked

As of yesterday I seem to be locked out of virginmedia account and therefore can no longer access my xxx@virgin.net email account which I have used for the last 20 years. I am desperate to get access back and have tried resetting passwords etc but keep getting error messages.  Spoke to very unhelpful virgin o2 staff who after an hour told me talktalk now handle virgin.net accounts. After a further 2 hours with talk talk they said virgin stopped supporting them in 2016 and I need to speak to virgin 02 staff. I am about at the end of the rope and need access to the account as I look after 4 elderly relatives dealings via this account. Can anyone please help

I am also having similar problem cannot access my virgin.net mail but also cannot access my virginmedia account on my pc. I Can't complain as you need to access your account to be able to complain which is pretty daft. Really need access to my virgin.net mails urgently.  Managed to speak to an on line virgin guy yesterday but after an hour eventually fobbed me off.

Based on your other multi-posts, if you do not have an active broadband account with VM, it is likely that your email has been deleted. VM has been clearing out legacy email addresses at speed just recently.

What does this checker return if you put in your email address?

https://verifalia.com/validate-email

Information returned in red (saying the account does not exist) means the account has gone. Returns in green may mean the account has not been fully deleted.

Occasionally VM does grant temporary access to rescue data but I haven't seen that offered on here in a while.

You will need the VM forum team to help you. They normally reply here within a few days.

Hello Martin1713.

Thanks for your posts and welcome to our community.

Sorry to hear you've lost access to your email account.

As @goslow has advised if you are no longer have an active broadband service with us then you may have had your email account removed.

I'm happy to see if we can allow access for a short time.

I will need to send you a private message to pass security and take some account details though.

If you can check your logo at the top right of your screen that would be great.

Hello Martin1713.

Thanks for supplying the relevant details over a private message.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. The email address will now have been deleted and it's not possible to gain access any more.

When a customer leave us we allow up to 90 days email access. In some circumstances the access remains valid.

We then run a sweep every so often to check for active email addresses that are linked to former accounts and close them down.

Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience this may be causing you.
