Re: Can't send emails as of today. Is Virgin using other servers now?

I have been using an old Exchange server to handle my email for about 15 years. It has been working all that time using the smtp.blueyonder.co.uk smart host
However for the last couple of days I have been getting the following message and my outbound mail is not being sent (I have not changed anything on my Exchange server):
"
Delivery has failed to these recipients or distribution lists:

[EMAIL ADDRESS REDACTED]
This message was rejected by the recipient's e-mail system. Microsoft Exchange will not try to redeliver this message for you. Please check the recipient's e-mail address and try resending this message, or provide the following diagnostic text to your system administrator.

The following organization rejected your message: csmtp3-prd-nl1-vmo.edge.unified.services.
"
Does anyone have any thoughts why this has started happening?

Thanks for your post @nialled and sorry to hear of the issue experienced with the E-Mail account.

Can you please confirm if the E-Mail address that's experiencing this issue is connected to an active Virgin Media subscription?

If the subscription is still active, does it fail to send all E-Mails or just to certain recipients/domains?

Thanks

David_Bn

It fails to send to any email address. Yes, the email address I am sending 'from' is the one I use for MyVirginMedia and has been working with smtp.blueyonder.co.uk without any authentication for over 15 years
Until now....

Where do I find the password app? Some of the help screens say that it should be in 'Account Settings' but my 'Account Settings' only shows the following options:
'My Virgin Media account details'
'Marketing and contact preferences'
'Online security'
'Device Authentication'
There is no 'Virgin Media Mail' option

These days you need to click on the "My Virgin Mediaaccounts details" option.

That will take you to the  "Account details" page and the "Virgin Media  Mail" option is at the bottom of that page. You'll see the option there to manage the Mail app password is there.

From all the recent posts on this forum that seems to have changed. Certainly these days Outlook seems to fail to send emails unless the email account server settings in Outlook specify the necessary authentication,

I'm afraid not, it definitely isn't thereAccount-settings.png

Unless you are saying that it is the same password as I use to sign into MyVirginMedia. I'm pretty sure I saw something that said it definitely wasn't the same password but maybe I was mistaken

"I'm afraid not, it definitely isn't there".

It's on the Account details page rather than that Account settings page you have posted in your image.

Or are you saying it's not there when you click on the left hand box labelled "My VirginMedia Account" on that Account settings page?

As I said in my post if you click on the "My VirginMedia Account" box

That will take you to the  "Account details" page and the "Virgin Media  Mail" option is at the bottom of that page. You'll see the option there to manage the Mail app password is there.

I had already looked there - the only password I can change is the MyVirginMedia sign-in password. My understanding is that is different to the password used for things like SMTP authentication. Or are you saying I should use that password?VM_Password.png

On that Accounts details page, if you scroll further down from the Communications Preference section that appears in  the screen shot you posted you should see this;

The Mail App password management section should be in that Virgin Media Mail section that I have outlined in red. Presumably that is not appearing in your account for some reason?
