Problem installing email account (ntlworld.com) to new iPad . Problem verifying account password.

Guys appreciate some assistance.

Trying to get the wife’s current email address ( ntlworld.com) we have this working on 2 other devices.
Been trying to install on new iPad. Checked that all settings mirror current devices ( where it works), but when using password, the new device it refuses to verify the password. I suspect that the password details the wife has kept in her journal maybe wrong.

Any suggestions gratefully received.  
Trying to speak with somebody who can try to resolve, is near on impossible with Virgin media
