Original virgin account password

How can I get hold of my original password when I set up my Virgin Account. I'm going to change from tablet to Ipad and will need to set up my blueyonder email system on the Ipad.....I think I will need the password and believe I will need the original password? I'm sure someone will be able to confirm if I am correct and advise. Regards

The original blueyonder password will be printed on the welcome letter you received when you joined Telewest.  However, if you have subsequently changed this and cannot remember the current password you will need to use the forgotten password link on the sign in page to set a new password.

No system saves original unencrypted passwords and should not be able to tell you your original password. You just need to follow the links to reset it. Any system that can supply you with your original password should not be touched with a barge poll.

Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums.

We're sorry to hear you've forgotten your original password. When adding your email to a new device app or client, you will need to generate an app password. 

Please log in to My Virgin Media here > Click on Account settings > Virgin Media Mail settings > scroll down to the App password section and click the Generate new App password button.

You should get a pop up message asking you to verify your email address and if you've not already updated your account, you'll need to use a 3rd party email address to continue. You'll be sent a one time passcode to enter on the next page to verify it's you. Once verified you'll then be given an app password which will look something similar to: mail-horse-yellow-panda and you should note this down.

To get things working on the new app or client, please ensure you use your VM email address as the username and the newly generated app password. If you have the mail on other devices, you will need to enter the new mail password in the settings too.
