I had to leave Virginmedia when i moved house in 2019 as you didn't supply services in the area I moved to. I was assured that my email accounts would be closed after 90days but this was not the case & I spent numerous hours on calls with support in a ridiculous chicken & egg situation, even sending them emails from the accounts they assured me were closed. 5 years on all the accounts for myself, my wife & 2 daughters are still active & at least 2 have been compromised & I have no way of managing them to even change the passwords. This is a serious breach of GDPR & the response from Virgin customer support has been awful. I see that other people on this forum have had the same issue & have managed to get the accounts deleted. I am at the point where i am looking to get legal advise as it's not acceptable that these accounts remain open without me having any ability to manage the security around them. Please contact me directly & I can provide proof that these accounts are still active.
