Not receiving emails from

Since sometime yesterday (19 Sept) I have stopped receiving all emails from all the groups on I subscribe to.

Some posts appear in Bounces on my account on  e.g. 421 MXIN107 Connections from your IP have been disallowed by admin policy. ;id=ix4JqAZVrJymN;sid=ix4JqAZVrJymN;mta=mx1-prd-nl1-vmo;d=20230920;t=151639[CET];ipsrc=;

Does this mean Virgin Media is blocking emails from in error and how do I get them to stop blocking them? The messages are not being blocked by other mail providers apparently.



The problem with not receiving messages seems to be solved but I have noticed an occasional problem when sending messages to On a couple of occasions when I have replied to a message on a I have received back from an email to say my reply could not be delivered. The message from tonight said: 500 Invalid request, no reverse DNS for 

Thanks for the update Ian_T and we're pleased to hear the issue has been partially resolved. Is it just that one reply you have had issues with or any emails sent to Is it always the same response if so?

The problem where emails failed to be delivered ti has only happened to me three times. I still have a copy of one mail delivery email. I have  deleted the others. For the last couple of days I have not sent any emails to so I have no further information for you. I did however find another thread in this community titled “no reverse DNS” by someone with a bluyonder email address also having similar problems sending emails to There is a lot of information in that thread which might help you to get this problem fixed.

Is it too late to revive this thread? I was experiencing this issue in September 2023 and in the past few days it's started again. Mails are getting to but are not been sent to my address. I've had one 'Mail Failure' and several with no reports. The failure had the message:

host []
SMTP error from remote mail server after RCPT TO:<>:
500 Invalid request, no reverse DNS for

Any clues?

Thanks for getting back to me. I came back to this thread because the issue I'm experiencing now seemed similar to that raised in September 2023. The first time I noticed the new instance was when I received a 'Mail Failure', as highlighted in my post yesterday. I've sent further mails to but none have been delivered to my mailbox, although I can see them when I log on to

I discovered this afternoon that there were some changes made to the DNS set up in immediately prior to the mail failure. I plan to pursue that line of enquiry with tech people. I'm not a DNS expert but I know a little bit about tech stuff. I'll post the results of my enquiry here.
