New Outlook not sending or receiving e-mails

I have been told my old windows Mail is going to be discontinued & have to switch to New Outlook.

I have now set up the new Outlook all my mails have transferred across but I cant send or receive any new ones.

My old windows mail is luckily still working fine?

VM have changed the rules for email, in that any new connections, i.e. your new Outlook, needs to have new passwords generated.

So is it just your new Outlook software that can receive but not send emails or is your original Mail software similarly affected?

Hi The new outlook wont send e-mails but receives them fine. My Old Windows Mail still sends & receives & so does my phone.

I have generated a new app password which I then had to changed on my phone & Old Mail which still work fine but cannot send still on new outlook?

There does seem to be an issue with new Outlook at the moment,
Here's a post on the Microsoft community where someone is getting the same error that you are seeing: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com/forum/all/new-outlook-will-not-send-any-messages-wit... 

They are a reporting that this occurs with recipient addresses that end in "'org" but it does seem as if it's a Microsoft Outlook issue rather than a VM fault.
