Had an NTL email account for years no problem. Yesterday the emails stopped working altogether with a message of STMP for the email user name or password is incorrect.
Have no idea what my password is, tried to reset as per previous forum comments but says my email address isnt valid.
I no longer have any virgin media accounts if that makes a difference.
Any suggestions as to how I retrieve my email data please 🙂

If you are not longer a VM broadband customer, VM's specified policy is to delete email accounts 90 days from disconnection.
In the past VM has not stuck to this reliably and many email accounts have lived on for a lot longer. Recently VM has been clearing out all of these legacy accounts.

Thanks so much for the advice. Guess that’s it then without warning. Will have to set a new email up and it’ll probably take years to sort it all out. Would be nice if they gave notice. Thanks again 😀

You can try the suggestion here

from a similar topic last week.
The VM team did offer to look into the issue. Outcome unknown. Don't get your hopes up though.

Hi swfe19
Thanks for your post and welcome to our community.
We're sorry to hear you've lost access to your NTL email account unexpectedly.
If this isn't linked to a current active broadband service with us, we're unable to offer support for password re sets etc unfortunately as we don't have the facility to do so.
As the community have mentioned, these should delete after around 90 days but can be missed.
We're very sorry, we appreciate this isn't the answer you were hoping for.
If you have any questions, please let us know and we'll do our best to help.
