Folders missing from webmail & android phones

Main email is ntlworld address, on Outlook on PC. I can see all my email folders on this device. No folders have been updated on webmail since 2017, and many new pones have been created. I have tried the folder subscription advice, but cannot see anything after 2017. I can receive /send emails on PC phone and tablet, but cannot view post 2017 folders. This is a longstanding issue, since getting new phone in 2017. Any advice please?

Hey @bn12,

Welcome back to the Community Forums and thanks for the post.

Sorry to hear you have been having this issue with your emails, if the folders are syncing via webmail, I.e your PC when logging in via the website/outlook.

If this is then not working on your phone can you confirm if you have deleted the email from the phone and gone about resetting this up?

Hi, Joe. No. Not sure how to go about that.

I've deleted eveyting from outlook in phone, & reset using IMAP settings. I can see many emails going aback to 2022, but no folders since 2018. I tried POP settings, but only got 122 recent emails, & no folders at all.

Hi bn12,

Thanks for coming back to us on this one.

Can you try logging in to webmail directly to see if the folders are viewable there?

To do this, just log in to My VM here. Once logged in, scroll down to the bottom and select Virgin Media Mail. This should load the email account for you.

Keep us posted on how things go.

Thanks,

Thanks. They are not visible in webmail. My PC settings for Outlook are POP/SMTP. If I change that to IMAP, will that allow sharing of the PC folders to webmail and my other devices? I have backed up email.

Thanks bn12,

So we can get a few more details from you, I've popped you over a private message.

If you look at our emails via webmail, then that is a definitive view of what VM have stored on their system, if, in this view the messages and/or folders aren't there, then, I'm sorry to say, they are gone, permanently gone and absolutely won't be coming back as VM don't keep backups - that, alas is up to you!

Yes, but I rarely look at webmail. The messages and folders are on my PC, but not on android devices. I'm trying to get them viewable on 2 android devices. Any idea how to do that via the ntl.world email address?
