Once again my email account is locked and I am unable to unlock it. The guide suggests to reset my virginmedia account password, but that sends me an email which I cannot access. Same thing if I try to change the email application passphrase, then a verification code is sent to my email account. I urgently need to access my emails and this really is unacceptable.
Are there any possible workarounds ?

Not what you wanted to hear, but the best workaround is to get a more reliable email service.
