Deleted emails disappearing from folder

My deleted emails are disappearing from my folder after only 7 days. How do I stop this happening?

Messages moved to the VM deleted folder are automatically removed after 7 days.  You cannot change this setting.

If you want to keep the messages then don't delete them.
