Email hasn’t worked on my iPad mail app for over a week although working intermittently on iPhone.
When adding new account I use Gmail email address then my virginmedia address but what do I use in the description it automatically defaults to Virgin Media, have tried my email address but just keeps verifying?

I’ve been having the same problem for about 6 weeks and have spent many hours on the phone to Virgin Media and was told as I could send from the App it wasn’t their problem but the mail app isn’t as good as the mail app on my iPad. Any help would be much appreciated

If your Gmail address is the non VM email account that you set as the email account that receives VM password verification emails then the settings in the mail app new account screen should be:
Also, just for completeness:
The mail app will then use those setting to send and receive emails using your VM email address.
Your Gmail account address should not appear anywhere in the app settings for your VM email account. However, you do have to use that Gmail address (instead of your VM email address) as the username when you sign into your VM webmail or My Virgin Media accounts on the VM website.
