Can’t log into hub 5 after connecting orbi

I received a new hub 5 as upgrade and connected it using hub name and password in settings also changed to modem only. After that I want to change the hub name as there are a lot of virgin users in my area and wanted to use my own hub name. So I tried to get into the setting again with the 192.168.0.1 and all I get is “this site can’t be reached”.

Am I doing something wrong or is it because I have my Orbi RBR750 connected to the hub. The WiFi around the house works I just wanted back into the hub to make a change and can’t get in. Do I need to factory reset and start all over again ?

I appreciate any help

  • In Modem mode the Hub 5 menu is at 192.168.100.1  & when in Router mode at 192.168.0.1

But in Modem mode the Hub 5 does not broadcast a Wi-Fi SSID name that you would need to change.

Perhaps I have totally missed what you hope to do.

      Hi Fraz56

      Welcome to the Community Forums.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble accessing your Hub 5.

Are you able to elaborate on this further? You've posted on a thread regarding a third-party device, so we'll need further information from you so we can advise and support where possible.

      Hi Fraz56

Did you try the solution to my query. It worked right away for me, if you’re using it as modem mode.
