CCTV Email help!

On our wavelength



Hi, I just bought a Swann CCTV system and before I call their support line I would like to ask some questions, everything is working just fine, it's just this frustrating email configuration in the Swann software that's making me pull out my hair! Any help would be great!! It's not the best picture, but I think you can see the image well enough 😉 On the left I have a blue Email tickbox, going down, the Encryption dropdown (SSL, TLS, and Disable)I did try all three. SMTP: The default is 00587, but I tried 00993, you have to input all 5 digits. SMTP Server: Not sure if that is correct! Username and Password: I used the same as I signed into "My Virgin Media Email" The Sender: is the DVR Box 4-4680 and Receiver 1: is my email. I keep getting the Error Box to show up each time I input a new field

So, can someone help, please? Have I inputted the wrong info? What would it be if I had? Thank you 🙂

I don't have a swan CCTV set up, however on mine i found it much better to use a G-mail account and have the email alerts sent there. Saves stacking up my main email and it was so easy to set up.

Agreed. You need a more stable email than VM for this, something you can fit and forget. VM email has so many problems reported here, and if it goes down you will never know that you are missing reports.
