Blueyonder Email suddenly stopped working

Hello, I have no idea why but starting today my blueyonder email account will not let me sign in. On top of that; When I try to do the reset password and I put in my email address, it just says "Please ensure you provide the email address you use to sign in to My Virgin Media". I would like to point out that I left Virgin Media back in June 2023 as I had moved and they couldn't provide service to my new address so I had to switch providers.

I've had this email account for a very long time, I made it back when it was Telewest and have had it longer than when I was with Virgin Media. Can someone offer some advice please? I need to regain access as soon as possible.

Also, I did try to contact virgin media but they were useless, just told me that because I'd left they had closed the account but I know this is nonsense because

1. When I sent an email to myself it went through just fine

2. My email has always been separate from my Virgin Media

If anyone could offer advice please do so.

Welcome to the Community Forums and thanks for the post.

Sorry to hear you have been having this issue, with blueyonder emails, these are created through your Virgin media account, once you leave us this account will close off within 90 days of disconnection, in some cases this can take longer to close off.

With this it would mean the email has now closed off fully.

But if that's the case why am I still able to send emails to my blueyonder? Shouldn't I get a follow-up message saying the email failed to deliver?

In previous cases it seems to go in stages. If mails aren't bouncing back yet there may be a chance of temporary recovery. That would need prompt action by staff

Okay and how do I contact them? Is there a live chat service or a phone number?

A staff member may pick this up if you wait.

Also, I don't know if this helps, but whenever I go to the email page the link in the address bar changes to this. Is this meant to happen?

Thanks for coming back to us on this. As mentioned by jpeg1, if the emails aren't bouncing back, then it may be possible to temporarily retrieve the address before a full deletion.
