VM O2 Email ID Not Working - VIRGIN PLEASE HELP

I have an old ntlworld.com e-mail account which I am attempting to access webmail to access my email. I have a new VM O2 ID setup but it keeps saying this:

Your Virgin Media Mail account is currently unavailable

This is either because your Virgin Media Mail account is locked, or because you don’t have an active account with us anymore.

Please can one of the forum team help me?

    So, it transpires my account got locked for some strange reason. Can the team advise why? I reset the app password and now all is well but why did my account get locked? I sent two e-mails and then a minute later account locked. Why??? All is good now but this can't happen again!

    Hey techweb, thank you for reaching out and we are so sorry to hear about tour email issue.

    Have you tried going down the forget password route or changing it?

    Normally this would fix the issue for you.

    Hi Matthew_ML,

    So resetting the app password resolved my issue but my question is why did I have to do this? I hadn't forgotten it and moments prior to being locked out, I was able to send an e-mail successfully.

        Thank you. But I would like to know why I was locked out all of a sudden and had to go through the hassle of resetting the password.

      A password reset can be required for a number of reasons, most commonly suspicious activity or spam being sent from the email address.
