How do I leave Virgin Media please?

I am sitting in my bedroom quite far away from my NEW wifi router absolutely in awe of the lightening speeds I am now getting from mobile wifi with a SIM from a cheaper provider than even the essentials 50 package I was struggling with super slow speeds with!

I went to upgrade forst to see if that would improve my speeds but I was told by VM that that is the max speed I can get in my area which is poor speed :-(

I so wanted to stay and for VM to do what they could to fix the problem but even retentions said there is nothing they can do

I have been with you for around 9 years and did not want to leave but I have to as my speeds were so poor it took me 2 hours to do a Just Eat grocery shop!

Which of course was unacceptable ( it is 'part fibre' in my area )

So switching to a new wifi router with a SIM card in it today I was apprehensive in case the speeds were still SLOW BUT I am so surprised I wish I did this years ago now!!

Lightening fast speeds even upstairs and a super strong signal for LESS than on the Essentials plan

So HOW do I cancel my Virgin Media ASAP as from tonight I will not need it at all

Thanks - I wanted to do it online if possible?

The essentials plan is a monthly plan so I can leave at any time thankfully?

I was so hoping you could do something but you can't , sadly , so I want to cancel ASAP so I do not get charged too much in the last month

Thanks

    Hi buttons21

Looking at your post, you are on a  30-day rolling contract on the Essentials broadband package.

Instead of calling retentions like you did 4 days ago according to <this post> of yours,  you should use the online chat messenger to give VM your 30 days cancellation notice. (The longer you leave it without contacting VM then the more you will be paying)

The online chat messenger is on the right hand side of the page linked below.
