virgin.net email locked

My email stopped working last Saturday, as I could no longer log in. Any attempts to reset the password failed as the password reset fails to recognise the email address.

I can still send emails to the address, so I suspect it's still there but locked. I'm not a current customer but have had this email for well over 25 years without issues.

I have seen a number of posts saying that unless you're a customer then old orphaned emails will be deleted. However most of these say you'll get a notification 30 days beforehand. Unfortunately I did not get an email and I have now been locked out.

A call to an advisor said they have no way to re-instate the email even temporarily, although some of the posts I've seen on here seem to suggest they have been able to get access to them.

Ultimately I would like access restored, even for a few days, so I can swap out website logins that use the email address.

If anyone is able to advise on how to get this restored, then I would appreciate it?

Thanks

Previous topics did mention some former customers being granted temporary access.

More recent topics seem to have been a flat 'no' from VM on regaining access, even temporarily.

A VM person should reply to your topic within a few days and give you an 'official' answer.
