Virgin media email account stopped working with Outlook on Windows 11 laptop
I have had a VM email account for around 25 years (old ntlworld email account). About 2 days ago my ntlworld email account stopped updating in Outlook on my Windows 11 laptop for no apparent reason. The ntlworld email account is updating fine on my Ipad and on my Android phone. I changed the VM email app password (4 word hyphenated password) to ensure I had the correct password. I was able to use the new password on my Ipad and Android phone to log in again and the account is working fine on both those devices. However, it is still not working on my Windows 11 laptop. I have deleted the ntlworld email account from Outlook on my laptop and now I am unable to add it back in.
On a similar note, I also have a gmail email account. This works fine in Outlook on my laptop. However, when I try to add it to my Virgin Media account via the VM media portal, the Virgin system tells me I'm using the wrong password - which is nonsense because I can use the same password to log directly into gmail through my web browser on my laptop.
So I'm not sure if there is an issue with Outlook, or if it's a VM issue. Any thoughts?
