You will need to use whatever username email you were using for the My Virgin Media account prior to the latest change.
You can choose any non VM email address that you have access to as the backup email address.

And is there any means of changing this Username email address on here if the domain of it, is defunct i.e. your unable to retrieve the verification email sent to it!
