smtp password not known

I use Virgin Blueyonder.co.uk email on both my iPad nad PC. On iPad I was getting message that my smtp password or username was incorrect. Tried to rectify but still have problem, decided to uninstall and then reinstall, which gave me a bigger problem I do not know what the password is! Any help would be apprciated.

    I think there might be an issue at the moment as not working for me either

      Oh!🤭And I’ve deleted from iPad.

        Resolved my issue by resetting app password

    Thanks for posting and welcome to the community. As you're using a third party email client, please do this which will solve it;

     

    Sign into the My Virgin media account for the email concerned with your VMO2ID

    Select Account Settings

    Select Identity & Security Settings

    Select Manage your products

    Select Manage email app password

    Click on the blue button 'Get New Password'

    Make a note of the generated password. This is what you use in the mail apps along with the Virgin Media email address as the username.
