Secondary account issues again!

Hi. Sometime ago I needed to reset the password to my daughters email, which is a secondary email on my account.

The process has completely confused me as I had to change all the details of the main email address first and now cannot remember how to access my daughters email. She cannot remember the password and desperately needs it as she's off to uni.

Im scared to try calling as this was when all the issues started.

Can someone please help?

    Sorry for any email log in issues. 

    If your Daughter types in the email on the sign in page, then clicks 'verify another way', what happens please?

    Now that your daughter is leaving home, this would be a good time for her to move to an email account with another provider, not attached to your broadband account.

    She needs the security of an independent email account that she can control herself and will not be lost when yours is closed for any reason. 

    The future of VM email is in any case in doubt, and your recent experience shows that VM is not making it easy to use. 

     

  • Hi John and thankyou. Unfortunately it's not as straightforward as that. 

    We phoned VM and asked for a password reset sometime ago. This,was where the problems started. My daughter has a virginmedia.com email address but log in for this is now apparently a 3rd party email address, which we can't remember. It used to be so easy to do.

    She still has access to this email account on her phone but needs to log in to it on her laptop. For that we need to know what the 3rd party email address and password is.

    I really feel that the person we spoke to had no idea what they were talking about as when my wife called for a password reset it was done in 5 minutes.

    We really need to set this up as it's vital for uni
