"My screwfix emails are not coming through"
There have been lots of forum posts on here over the years from VM email users reporting that emails from a whole range of organisations are being blocked by Virgin Media.
The most obvious reason is down to fact that VM run a number of checks on all incoming email over and above simply checking the contents of an email to see if it looks like spam.
Many organisations and companies use automated email software to manage:
• transactional emails such as sending OTP's and PIN's
• sending out regular newsletters or marketing to mailing lists.
Putting it simply, it seems that the settings of such automated systems often cause VM to reject those emails because VM cannot be certain that they have been sent by the organisation or company themselves.
As an aside, many of the notification emails sent by this (VM) forum are flagged as spam when they arrive in a VM email account!
The only way to know exactly why these emails are not getting through is to look at the error messages or non delivery emails that the sending organisation receives from VM each time they send you an email.
However, getting that information from the customer support staff of sending organisations is difficult at best and in most cases it's impossible. In fact, the first line support staff may well not have access to that level of information.
To be honest your best bet is to switch to using an email account from a professional email provider such as Gmail, Outlook.com or one of the many others available.
You can at least start that switching process by changing the email account you use with Screwfix and any other organisations whose emails are going missing.
It is worth noting that VM stopped issuing new email accounts more than 3 years ago and since then new VM customers do not have thet option of getting a VM email account. VM do still support VM email accounts of existing customers but it seems that VM no longer sees email as being a part of their offering going forward.
Sorry I cannot be more positive regarding a solution.
