Unexpected Survey Email Received

I received an email yesterday from "The Team at Virgin Media <noreply@qemailserver.com>" with subject "Virgin Media: We'd love to hear your thoughts" which starts "Hi NIGEL, First of all, thanks for contacting Virgin Media."

I haven't contacted Virgin Media by any method for months if I recall correctly. Why did I receive this email? I have examined the raw version of the email and there is nothing suspicious I can see about it. The embedded links all go to https://virginmediao2.qualtrics.com/.

Explanation please!

    Unfortunately, we have sent a survey to some customers by mistake. We're making some changes  at or end to avoid this happening again and we apologise for any confusion this may have caused.

    I had a "First of all, thanks for contacting" email today and as I am currently in Lanzarote have not contacted VM. I just ignored it.

        You mean the "Tell us what you think" that pops up?

        When they have ignored every suggestion that users have made since the new forum was introduced.
