Virgin Media have sent out that email to email accounts that are not linked to a live VM broadband account.
That suggests that your virgin.net email account is not linked your VM broadband account. You cannot link it yourself but VM can link it if your virgin.net email account was originally part of a broadband account in the same name as your current broadband account.
Some virgin.net email accounts were originally linked to Virgin's old ADSL (non fibre) broadband that they sold off to TalkTalk in 2015. Others were originally "dial up" email accounts and so not linked to a broadband account.
One of the Forum Team (VM staff who support this forum) will contact you through the forum in the next day or so. They will take the necessary details by Private Message and advise what the options are in your case.

Hi, @Ilyas_Y
My virgin.net account is not listed under the MyVM. We do have three other accounts but they are all @virginmedia. Please advise next steps. Many thanks,

Your multi-post has been moved back to your own topic (but your last post was left behind). Comm's with the VM forum team is not in real time. There are delays as staff change shifts and they deal with other queries.
AIUI, if you have a VM broadband account and you want to move a virgin.net email to it, the broadband account and the virgin.net email have to be in the same name. Moving the virgin.net over wipes out any existing mailboxes on the broadband account and replaces them with the virgin.net mailbox.
A VM person will reply in due course and give you the official line on what your options are.
