Ntlworld

Hi there

Ive Been having problems accessing my ntlworld.com email account.  I initially thought my account may have been hacked so changed the password. Now I no longer have access to either my Virgin account or my email. I did begin an online chat and was told that ntlworld has not been supported for some time. Clearly not true as until a couple of days ago it was working just fine. Any suggestions as to how I can access my account if only to forward any potentially important mail.

thanks

NTL mailboxes are still supported at the moment, providing you are a paying customer of VM Broadband.  Otherwise, it may have been deleted.

You now need a 3rd party email address to access My VM.

The sign in username for your Ntlworld email address is now your third party email address.  This is part of the security changes that VM made last year.  Eventually every VM account will need a third party email address to sign in with.

To get to your Ntlworld email sign out of any other VM account and go to the webmail page.  In the sign in box enter the 3rd party email address and the Ntlworld account password.  This should take you to the Ntlworld emails.

For "app" access, e.g. Outlook, you use your NTL email address and the four word generated password for that account.

Thanks for posting in regards to the email access issues experienced, we appreciate you raising this via the forums and welcome to the community.

When changing the password it can take a little time for everything to update and allow access, sometimes up to 24 hours but it is usually much quicker than this. As Adduxi has also advised, when trying to sign into the NTLWorld account you would need to use the third party email address as the username.
