ntlworld.com email not linked to my virgin media account

Hi, my ntworld.com email account is not linked to my virgin media account and I can no longer access my emails.  I have always used MS outlook but the password is no longer being accepted, I've tried to get a new password but I have no email account connected to my virgin media account.

Is this email attached to your current paying broadband account?  Have you setup the required 3rd party email address and four word password?

  • I've been told it is connected by my account but I can't managed the email account as it doesn't appear in my settings.   If I go to https://mail.virginmedia.com/ I get:

Your Virgin Media Mail account is currently unavailable
This is either because your Virgin Media Mail account is locked, or because you don’t have an active account with us anymore. If you have an existing Virgin Media Mail account with us, please follow the steps below, as your account may have been locked as a security precaution.

I've gone through the process of unlocking the account but still no joy

Okay, thank you for confirming this Mauleteser

After unlocking the account, it is important to wait 30 minutes before accessing the email, as this may cause the email to lock again. Please, can you try again and wait for the required 30 minutes and let us know if that has worked for you. You also need to use a password you've never used before.

      You can follow the steps here on how to generate an app password;

      •    Sign in to your online account here

      •    Once signed in, select the Account Settings option.
      •    From the Account Settings page, select the Virgin Media Mail Settings option.

      •    Once on the Virgin Media Mail Settings page, scroll down to the App Password section and click the Generate New App Password button.

      •    A pop-up message will appear asking to verify their email address.

      •    You MUST use a third-party email address to continue. You cannot use any VirginMedia.com, blueyonder.co.uk or ntlworld.com address.

  • Once I've signed in and go to Account Settings, there is no Virgin Media Mail Settings option.

Hi Mauleteser, can you please confirm if you have since been able to locate the Virgin Media Mail Settings option?

After selecting "Account Settings" you will be presented with 8 boxes - in two rows of 4 options.

This should be on the second row and 2nd from the left.

      Thanks
