NTLWORLD ACCOUNT

Hi all I have an Ntlworld account, I need to reset my password as I am having problems accessing the account. How can I reset the email, I'm no longer a Virgin media customer.

    When did you leave VM? VM's stated policy is that mailboxes will be deleted 90 days after you leave VM (although VM has been remarkably inconsistent in doing this to that schedule).

  • It was over 5 years ago, but the email has been working, I just needed to reset the password as have a new computer and password isn't saved anywhere

      Unfortunately, I think you might be out of luck. VM has been closing down mailboxes that are not linked to an active VM broadband subscription.

      VM has not been very accommodating in allowing access back in to rescue data once the deletion process has begun. You will find numerous similar past topics on here.

      If you still have the old computer, see if you can still get in on that (if you were using an email client app or have a stored password in the browser). If you can, you need to start an emergency rescue mission to capture your data from the mailbox and/or switch your contacts and services to a new email address.

      Wait for a VM person to reply here (usually within a few days) and see if they can offer any help but prepare yourself for the possibility that your mailbox has been deleted and you are likely not going to be able to get back into it.

      Sorry to hear of the email issues experienced, we appreciate you raising this via the forums and welcome to the community.

      If you are no longer a Virgin Media customer with active services we wouldn't be able to assist with the email account, as advised here after 90 days of the services being disconnected the email mailbox will be closed. It can take longer and depends on when this is audited but as you no longer have active services we wouldn't have access to assist with this.
