"I haven’t been getting any junk/spam mail into the spam folder"
I would suggest that you check the Spam settings in your VM webmail account.
- Sign into your webmail account
- click on the cog symbol (top right of the main screen to open the settings menu
- click on "Email" in the left hand menu and then "SPAM settings"
- Check that the option to "Reject All SPAM messages" is not selected. If it is you need t change it to "Move message to Spam folder" That means any future spam messages should appear in your Spam folder but it will not be back any that have already been rejected.
"The last couple of days I’ve been waiting for emails and they have never arrived,"
You need to check in the Webmail settings to make sure that a hacker has not added an autoforward to your VM email account to divert your emails to another email account..
- In the settings menu (where you checked the SPAM filter) click on "Email" a few lines up from the SPAM filter line.
- click on the box "Auto forward" to the right of the menu liist.
- check whether there is an email address entered in the box
If there is it means that all your recent emails have been passed on to that email account.
Turn off the auto forward and take immediate action to change the password of your account and check all your other online accounts for possible fraudulent activity.
Here is a link to take you through all that https://www.virginmedia.com/help/security/why-is-my-virgin-media-email-hacked
I hope that's not the reason why you have not received these emails. If everything seems ok with the settings post back for more relevant advice.
