I have Virgin broadband but I'm locked out of my Virgin.net email

I have had Virgin broadband for over a year but have been unable to change my email address from a gmail address which I often use, to my virgin.net address. I kept getting an error message saying that you are unable to do this. This did not bother me but now I have now been locked out of my virgin.net account with no notice. I have 30 years of contacts and emails there I would like. Can somebody please help?

    Thank you for your post and welcome to the community. 

    With regards to the changing of the email address. If you are referring to logging into your online account then you would be unable to do this as we do advised that you need to use a 3rd party email address for the login. 

    With regards to being unable to access the .net email address now. We are in the process of closing down all .net email addresses. Emails have been sent out to the address prior to the closing to warn of this. If this is now locked we would be unable to unlock this.
